Scattered showers are bringing much needed relief to the weary lower ballfield water bucket brigade! How 'bout them summertime temps?!! Yet another successful work weekend at camp central:   Thanks to Eric Henchey and our webmaster for emptying the kitchen of all the stored tables and chairs and helping to set up the Great Hall. Cleaning out the old Nurse's station to make way for the new Trip Room was an added bonus! Of course, no goods or services were exchanged for these random acts of kindness, but they were treated to a little known view of Mirror Lake that is well within the legal boundaries of one of Shirley's Treasure Hunts... Michael McCarthy applied the first coat of poly to the newly sanded MacGregor Hall floor and the unseasonably warm temps ensured that it dried in a hurry! He and the rest of the maintenance crew would gladly welcome any help this coming weekend as the barn must be cleaned out by May 15th. Matt Heffernan sent a note asking if NW apparel would be available for alumni to purchase and the answer is a resounding "YES!". We will get a price list out on the web by June and you can send in your orders at that time. Those lucky enough to come for the Memorial Day Weekend White Sale will get first crack at the wide assortment of clothing options :-D   We also welcome Keith Doran to the North Woods Tripping Staff 2000 as our nature specialist and he, in return, extends his thanks to the Jaroszewski's for the sets of binoculars which will become a staple of the birdwatching forays this summer.   Note to all staff and volunteers who are 21 years of age and older, please send in copies of your valid driver's license so that we can get you on the rental van company's list prior to the start of the camping season.   David B.
