Thanks to all who braved the elements and
came out to the Skate-a-thon on March 10th. Some of the pics from the
event are already up on the web along with a few from the International
Reunion in London. Why there might even be one of Adam Finelli
taking a well-deserved bow from his performance in
"Interview".
Now that Spring has arrived our attention
turns to warmer events. Any staff member or volunteer who is interested
in attending the ACA Conference in Manchester this weekend, drop us a
note. We can even sign you up at the door and you don't have to pay a
thing!
Not only are there a number of worthwhile
workshops on Friday and Saturday, but it is a great opportunity to
gather to discuss the season ahead. George Pacheco has kindly
offered his home for Friday night's lodging and entertainment and
we have rooms at the conference on Saturday for those in need of a place
to stay.
Our next social gathering will be our second
annual camp pre-season Kick-off in Foxboro, MA for the Revolution season
opener on Saturday, April 14th. Spend a portion of your Easter weekend
with the camping family - everyone is invited and tickets are only $10
(contact me directly for details).
Speaking of events, I met with John Keeler
and plans are already afoot for the Old Timer's weekend which will be
held May 18th - 20th. Those interested in planning the following
weekend's Memorial Day extravaganza are invited to attend our next
camp committee meeting on Tuesday, April 3rd.
Before Andy Sherman headed out to a camp maintenance conference
in New York with Mike McCarthy, he reported that a steady
stream of visitors continues to appear at camp, including Jeremy
Adams, Grant Nickerson and Jason Rogers this past
week. They all ogled the new climbing tower and were dumbstruck by the
amount of snow everywhere!!
We have also heard from more
alumni from all points of the compass as Julian Ferris, John
Kennedy and Andy Mason are just the latest who have
contacted us. However, there are still a few letters of the
alphabet left (not to mention years of representation) remaining to
fill on the Where R U Now Page.
This week's featured lost alums are Greg
Cross and Dave Worters.
