From Florida sun to New Hampshire fun!

Miami Beach-Coconut Grove-Homestead-Key West-Everglades-Naples-Ft. Myers-Tampa, it seems but a blur... yet, just like Shirley used to say, nothing beats the beautiful shores of Lake Winnipesaukee!! Enough of this vacation nonsense... I am on my way back North to join in a little walk down memory lane with the Old-Timers this weekend and anyone who is interested in joining us, feel free to drop on in! The starting gun for the pre-season will officially sound off late today and by next weekend's Memorial Day festivities there will be no doubt that summer is upon us, judging by the response from those both near and far.

Run to the sign! Yes, the familiar Treasure Hunt cry will also be heard a wee bit earlier this season. Over forty folks have already signed up to be part of camping history. Don't miss out on all the fun on June 2nd as we celebrate our 150th anniversary as a YMCA.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the lower $15 entry fee for adult (ages 13 on up) participants in the YMCA World's Largest Run. You can still register on or after May 19th, but it will be an extra $3. Of course, the younger members of our camping community (Junior, Middler and Trailers aged - 6 to 12) are just $5 regardless of when their registration comes in. So whether you want to run, walk or just cheer everyone else on... the sooner you sign up, the better!

Volunteers are also still needed to assist with this once in a lifetime event. We could really use your help! If you want to chip in and make this a truly memorable camping moment, please drop us a note!

Remember, you can always register online by going to www.ymca.net and clicking on the YWLR registration link. Just find the Location pull down menu in the upper left hand corner and click on NH, you can't miss us under Tuftonboro!!

It certainly will be a very exciting first weekend in June as camp will be humming not only with the YWLR but also what we are now referring to as W cubed. Many of you have already celebrated Mother's Day appropriately by giving the perfect gift of a Women's Wellness treat to that special someone. Confirmations will be going out the beginning of next week and there is still space available. Brochures will also be available during Memorial Day Weekend for those that prefer to sign up at camp. Don't miss out on the opportunity to partake in a variety of special activities that women from all over New England can only experience at camp - including none other than Dr. Loretta Fleurs Goodwin's internationally renowned rubber stamping classes :-)

On a much more serious note, the Y has been having server troubles of late and I have been away from my computer far too long. So, if you've sent a note recently and do not receive a response by Monday, please resend it to this address and I will respond when I return from camp... until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
