What am I up to?
I live in the Seacoast area of NH in a
small town called Newmarket. Presently I am the Program Director for
a non-profit teen center called New Outlook. The program acts as a
drop-in center for middle and high school students and we offer an
extensive adventure program in the summer. We will do a variety of
trips including hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing and other
recreational activities.
Since I left camp in 1995, I have finished
my graduate degree from Lesley College in Environmental Education.
The program was focused upon group dynamics, education and communication
which comes into play on a daily basis regardless of what I am
doing. Besides the work world, I enjoy being in the outdoors and
have recently taken up telemarking skiing. Life in the slow land but
that works for me.
I am in search of folks who were in camp in
the late 70's and early 80's to get together for a weekend in May to
remember the old times and possibly help out Mike McCarthy with a
work project. Actually, Dave Goodwin said that it would have
to be a work weekend since there is always stuff to do, but we would have
lots of time to do other stuff. The weekend that I was looking at is
the weekend of May 19th. Please give a call to Dave at NWC at (603)
569-2725 or call me at (603) 659-4686.
