Seniors Frolic at Kehonka Dance
|
|
|
On Friday, the 13th (!!) of August, the boys of the senior
section, plus their counselors, set out from camp toward the legendary
home of the goose and the blossom of feminine youth, Camp Kehonka.
|
|
Before any boy could move a step out of camp, though, he had to pay a
visit to the famous, celebrated, verree exclusive, Nick-Ed-Bob-Sudsy-Dickie-and-Dave
manicure shop, where he obtained a complete shampoo, shower, and manicure,
under the expert supervision of the Messrs. Evangelos, Branagan,
Sudhalter, Leverant, Grinold, and Hill & Hill.
Finally, though, all was ready, and our young group of Don Juans invaded
Camp Kehonka. The affair commenced at 7:30 sharp, and came to a close at
10:00.

At the outset, things looked pretty bleak,
until Senor Joseph Rivera, otherwise known as “Cassanova” made
the initial thrust sociall, and, under his example, others soon followed
suit.
Punch and cake were served as refreshments, and were enjoyed by all. The
big surprise of the evening, was Chuck Oliver, who not only found
himself a girl, but is now carrying on a correspondence with her.

|
Other notables at the dance included, Dave
DiCicco, (just call me “Cas”) Howie Muellner (just call me
“cat”) and Chas. Horner, who found that dieticians and baseball
mix very well. No one can forget the superb disc-jockeying of John
Keeler, which made the dance the success it was.
As a whole, it was a very refreshing and inspiring experience, which will
be long remembered.
